I expect those of you who have visited this site have found the registration and log in process cumbersome. I certainly have. So, from now on, you can see all posts without having to sign in each time you visit. You can also make comments without logging in. If you would like to be notified of new posts, you may register for that. Other new features include access to tweets, an RSS feed if you want to link posts with your website, and a tag “cloud.”

After 14 years, another important piece of the “bipolar” puzzle falls into place.

After three months the results of a revolutionary new Lyme disease test by Advanced Laboratory Services are in, at least for Christopher Moyer, my son. Scientists have found a way to take a sample of blood and grow spirochetes from it. Then PCR testing establishes if the genetic material is the same as Borrelia burgdorferi. Chris’ sample was one of those used by the company to initially assess their lab procedures which have been evolving on a daily basis. For example, according to Dr. Burrascano, since the PCR is proving to be highly accurate, even at the 6 day period, they will now be declaring positive results within six days, even before the motile spirochetes...

11/27/11 Today we are launching the site “Beyond Mental Illness” and the blog “A Path Not Taken.” Look for news here related to the subject of moving beyond mental illness.
